Why Choose Us

Selecting the right vet for your companion animals means finding a practice that understands both advanced medical care and how important your pet is to you. Our decades of experience serving Southeast Georgia families have taught us that excellent veterinary care combines clinical skill with true compassion and personal attention.

Meet the Team

Our Kingsland animal vets bring specialized skills to provide complete animal healthcare. Leading our practice, Dr. Guy A. Cheek established this facility after completing his veterinary education at the University of Georgia, growing from a single-doctor veterinary clinic to a multi-doctor animal hospital over the past three decades.

Each vet has special areas of focus. Dr. Shanna Ramsey’s extensive emergency medicine background, developed through intensive practice in Jacksonville facilities and strengthened by her University of Tennessee internship, helps us respond quickly to emergencies. Dr. Jordan Fry’s dual focus on advanced surgical techniques and complex internal medicine cases means we can handle procedures that usually need specialists. Dr. Kylee Capece brings the latest in veterinary education, graduating from The Ohio State University in May 2024 with additional marine biology training that adds to our scientific understanding of animal health. Our clinical operations rely on Laura’s excellent technical skills—as a board-certified veterinary technician with nearly four decades of hands-on experience since our opening day, she ensures safe anesthesia, diagnostic accuracy, and pet monitoring. Office Manager Toni coordinates our administrative functions with fifteen years of service, keeping operations running smoothly to support our medical care.
